2006 NFL Preseason Predictions

Learn how to make 2006 NFL Preseason predictions from one of the foremost experts in NFL handicapping.  There are two situations that we want to inform our visitors to look for when making bets on the NFL preseason this year and that are new coaching situations and quarterback challenges.  Let's take a look at some situations that will arise this season.

Bet our 2006 NFL Preseason Predictions at Bodog, the most trusted name in sports betting!

Quarterback situations to look for:

Buffalo Bills: JP Loseman and Kelly Holcomb will be battling it out from the time training camp begins, with Holcomb the most likely victor on pure ability alone.  Last year the Bills made the mistake of inserting Loseman into the starting lineup too early, so watch these two guys give it their all for the entire preseason schedule.  The Bills also have new head coach Dick Jauron and he will want to set the tone early by changing the losing attitude in Buffalo.

NY Jets: Another team with both a Quarterback controversy and a new head coach.  Eric Mangini comes in to this season after having studied under Bill Belichick.  While Belichick doesn't put a lot of emphasis on the preseason, Mangini might want to prove to the tough New York crowd that he is worthy of being a head coach at such a young age.  The Jets will also have a battle going on with Chad Pennington and Patrick Ramsey.  There are a lot of question marks surrounding both these guys, but Pennington is one of the best in the league when healthy.  Ramsey will at least push him.

Oakland Raiders: Art Shell wants to install a new attitude on to the most penalized team in the NFL, and that starts with a business like atmosphere in the preseason.  The quarterback situation may be solidified in Aaron Brooks, but he needs to prove he's worth after a bad stint in New Orleans and will also have some pressure from Andrew Walters.  Oakland could be a good team to watch since expectations are low after a couple bad years.

Detroit Lions: Rod Marinelli wants football guys on his team, guys who love to play.  This reminds me of the New England Patriot style of football and it could work for Detroit as well.  They will also be a team to watch out for in the preseason with quarterbacks Jon Kitna and Josh McCown both working hard in order to secure the starting role.  Both of these guys are capable especially if one is facing second tier defenses in the preseason.

Arizona Cardinals:  It's time for Dennis Greene to produce.  This team is loaded with talent and they have a great backup in Matt Leinart.  Kurt Warner doesn't want a repeat of what happened to him in New York with Eli Manning, so you can bank on him being sharp in preseason games and taking them seriously.  Leinart will get some time, and he's the most ready for the NFL out of any of this talented rookie class.

These are just a couple of teams that you may want to spend some extra time on when handicapping your 2006 NFL Preseason predictions.  If you do not want to spend that time then make sure you check out our NFL picks packages.
