2006 NFL Season Predictions
If you are looking for quality 2006 NFL season predictions before making any futures bets this year then let Jimmy Boyd be your guide. We have already given you some solid selections on who we think is going to contend for the Super Bowl, division titles, and wild card in our NFL predictions, so we are going to focus in on certain situations in which you can profit by betting on win totals this year.
The first team that we are taking with the NFL betting lines are the 2006 Dallas Cowboys to finish under 9.5 wins. This team has a lot of Super Bowl hype with the addition of Terrell Owens, but right now he’s deciding that he doesn’t want to participate in training camp and will most likely miss some preseason games. This isn’t a normal veteran who wants to wait to get repetitions in when the season starts, but a guy with a history of problems that has played sparingly in the last two years (he went down with that leg injury late in the year two seasons ago.) Another problem for the Cowboys is that they play in the toughest division in football so with six tough games on the schedule in their own league, plus contests at Jacksonville, Carolina, Arizona, and Atlanta with home games against the Bucs and Colts, this team isn’t going to make it to 10 wins so take the under.
The next team that we are taking with our NFL expert picks are the 2006 Denver Broncos to go under 10 wins. The key to this bet is that Denver is going to have to make it to 11 in order for us to lose, and a push in this case is the most likely scenario. This team has problems that nobody wants to talk about when Mike Bell is going to be the starting running back and Jay Cutler is going to get call outs every time Plummer makes a mistake. Factor that in with the division being tight and the Chiefs and Chargers being on their tales, and you won’t want to be betting on the Broncos to make it to 11 wins. The schedule sees them going to Cleveland, New England, Pittsburgh, and Arizona with home games against the Bengals, Seahawks, Colts, and Ravens. Now factor in how they are going to have two tough matchups against the Chiefs and Chargers, plus an improved Raider team and you will find this isn’t a golden road laid out ahead of the orange and blue.
The last team we are going to focus on with our NFL sports betting are the 2006 Tampa Bay Bucs. There is little doubt in our mind that this team gets under 9 wins this year as they have a pretty brutal schedule and a difficult division to tame. The team did little to improve from last year and while they did win the division, the defense only aged another year and the other teams got better. Tampa’s key games are at home against Baltimore, Carolina, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, and Seattle while they travel to the Giants, Panthers, Cowboys, Steelers, Bears, and Browns. They are going to have to win six of those thirteen games in which they will be either small favorites or underdogs in order for us to lose this wager. It isn’t going to happen so take the under.
This concludes our top choices for win totals this year. If you want to take advantage of our weekly NFL predictions then stop by the site each week during the fall. Our NFL picks packages are low priced to fit anyone’s bankroll from the highest rollers to the small bettors.
