2007 AFC East Predictions

Now take a look at our 2008 AFC East Predictions!

Once again the Patriots seem to be the class of the AFC East with the rest of the division just playing catchup.  The Jets made a great run a season ago and it will be interesting to see if they can build on last year's success to make another playoff push.  The rest of the division is catchup as well with Miami showing plenty of potential and the Bills building a young team for the future.  It's going to be dogfight for second, as New England should have more than enough to capture the division crown once again.

1st Place - New England Patriots - This is the team to beat in the NFL this season.  With the additions that they made to both side of the ball in Moss, Stallworth, and Thomas you can see why so many people are jumping on the band wagon.  You couple those guys with Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick and you can see why this team should be right there at season's end.

2nd Place - New York Jets -  With so much success in 2006, almost all their starters returning, and adding Thomas Jones into the mix has Jets fans hoping for a lot this year.  It's going to be tough for the team to get back over the hump and get back into the playoffs as the schedule is tougher and teams are looking out for them this season.  If they get a couple breaks they could make the Wild Card, but we are seeing them just missing out.

3rd Place - Miami Dolphins - Trent Green arrives to help spark the offense, but the defense isn't getting any younger which makes us think that it will be tough to keep up their impressive numbers.  There are a lot of question marks on this team, but optimists point to the fact that they didn't lose as much as they gained in the off-season, and a year ago they were a hot pick to make noise in the playoffs.

4th Place - Buffalo Bills - The Bills are young and have a lot of questions on defense.  This team is a couple of years from being a serious contender in the division, and the fact that they have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL isn't going to help them climb out of the basement.  If they finish third in the East it would be a surprise to us.
