2007 AFC Predictions2007 AFC North PredictionsNow take a look at our 2008 AFC North Predictions! Last year was dominated by Baltimore and our 2007 AFC North predictions show the Ravens returning to the top. The difference this year is that both the Bengals and the Steelers will be vying for a Wild Card spot, and we think that spot will go to Pittsburgh. This is going to be a top heavy division with those three teams being very competitive and all having a chance to do some damage in the playoffs. The Browns on the other hand just don't have the talent to make a real run at this division as it is going to take some time to get this team turned around. Hopefully Brady Quinn can bring some hope to the city that has struggled since returning to the league, but it won't be in 2007. Bet our 2007 AFC North Predictions at Bodog, the most trusted name in sports betting! 1st Place - Baltimore Ravens - We think this is the team to beat in the division this year, as long as they can stay healthy. The team should have a sense of urgency with several players on the wrong side of 30, but the team still has enough talent to compete. The defense was the best in the league a year ago and even without Adelius Thomas it should be near the top again this season. Adding McGahee should also give the offense a needed boost. 2nd Place - Pittsburgh Steelers - People are looking past Pittsburgh after having a down season a year ago and losing Bill Cowher after the season. However, the Steelers have a lot of players back from their 2005 Super Bowl championship squad, and should be hungrier after a difficult year. Don't expect the same lack of production out of Ben Roethlisberger, and expect a return to the playoffs this season out of the Steelers. 3rd Place - Cincinnati Bengals - Everyone is big on the Bengals and Carson Palmer and the talented offense have a lot to do with that. The problem we see is a weak defense that is terrible against the pass and is getting old up front. The loss of Chris Henry should tame the offense a little bit, and a tough division this year with Pittsburgh getting focused will most likely find the Bengals out of the playoffs. 4th Place - Cleveland Browns - The Browns are young and could show some promise, but it's doubtful much will be made this year. Our staff fully expects the Browns to be the team finishing up in last place in this division, especially with a tough schedule early in the year. The only real question is how long before Quinn starts and can he show promise when he gets his chance. See also: |
