2007 AFC Predictions2007 AFC South PredictionsUpdated now our 2008 AFC South NFL Predictions! It may be a surprise to some that we are taking the Jags with our 2007 AFC South predictions, but the team is talented and coming off a down year. The Colts are the favorite of the public bettors, but in recent years if you aren't the Patriots then you normally have trouble getting back in the groove after winning the title. However, Peyton Manning you can bet will stay focused. Tennessee had a surprising year last season, but the same success won't transfer over to this year, and Houston continues to keep their place at the bottom of the division. Bet our 2007 AFC South Predictions at Bodog, the most trusted name in sports betting! 1st Place - Jacksonville Jaguars - This is our sleeper pick to do some damage in the AFC this season. A lot of talent returns from a year ago, when a lot of experts and analysts were expecting big things. Two years ago this team earned a first round bye and with an easier schedule this year the team could be poised for a big run. Running the ball and defense wins championships, and the Jags are that kind of team. 2nd Place - Indianapolis Colts - The best team a year ago will most likely be facing a Super Bowl hangover. The defense somehow came alive for the playoffs, but struggled all season long and we see more of the same out of them this year after losing Cato June and both corners. Manning gets better every year, but Harrison has to start showing his age at some point. The loss of Rhodes also could be more of a concern than people think. 3rd Place - Tennessee Titans - The Titans lost a lot from the team who surprised everyone a season ago. With a lot of young players and Vince Young continuing to get better, this team will be a force in the future, but for Tennessee fans we are sorry to say the future is not now. If they get to 8 wins this year it will be even more surprising than last year, and we see 5 or 6 wins in their future and a 3rd place finish in the AFC South. 4th Place - Houston Texans - We just don't see Houston doing much damage this season, and one of the best bets of the year is on our predictions page. You really have to wonder what management was thinking passing on Reggie Bush and Vince Young now that David Carr and Domanick Williams were both released. Maybe in a few years things will get straightened out, but with decisions like they have made in recent years, it's hard to see a surge to the top in the works. See also: |
