2007 NFC West Predictions2007 Arizona Cardinals Predictions & Season PreviewPrepare for the upcoming season with our 2008 Arizona Cardinals Predictions & NFL Preview! It's another new era for the Arizona Cardinals as they start the 2007 as Ken Whisenhunt takes over for the departed Dennis Green. It's going to be an overhaul of styles as Whisenhunt is going to bring some of the power football that has helped the Steelers become a perennial powerhouse in the NFL. God knows that Arizona needs the change as they have had just two seasons in their last 19 in which the team didn't finish with a losing record. Bet our 2007 Arizona Cardinals Predictions at Bodog, the most trusted name in sports betting! Offensively the team should have plenty of talent to make things happen. Matt Leinart will have had a year in the NFL, and should be ready to make a jump. Leinart is a smart guy who showed plenty of poise in his rookie campaign, and he'll have plenty of tools at his disposal. If something happens to Leinart then Kurt Warner is his backup, and he showed he could still play last season. The team is going to run more this year and Edgerrin James is capable of carrying that kind of load. Even with the pass-first atmosphere in Arizona last year, James still amassed 1,159 yards on the ground. That number should go up under Whisenhunt. The strength of the offense is at wide receiver where the team boasts two Pro Bowl type guys in Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. Boldin had 83 catches for 1203 yards last year and Fitzgerald still put up some decent number despite battling injuries for most of the campaign. There isn't much depth at receiver so the Cards are hoping those two can remain healthy throughout the year. Defensively Arizona wasn't very good last year, and with their offensive line needs this unit didn't get a whole lot of help. Whisenhunt will be implementing a 3-4 at times and the personnel on the line should be capable of making the change. Up front they have Darnell Dockett, rookie Alan Branch, and Antonio Smith and a couple of ends/outside linebackers in Bertrand Berry and Chike Okeafor. The inside linebackers will be Gerald Hayes and Karlos Derby, who were both better than expect a year ago and there are high hopes these two will continue to develop. The team isn't real deep at linebacker, but Calvin Pace is another nice option. In the secondary there are a lot of question marks at corner in a couple of near-draft busts in Angrel Rolle and Eric Green. Both of these guys need to step it up. Adrian Wilson is a Pro Bowl safety and will have his college teammate Terrance Holt joining him this season. The unit ranked 30th against the pass last year, it has nowhere to go but up. The odds are skewed towards the OVER, and we believe Arizona is going to go OVER 7 wins. However, since you have to lay such high juice we are not recommending a real strong play on this team. We also think they are a year or two away from serious contention to win the division and make the playoffs. Arizona will exceed expectations and most likely finish second in the division, but they aren't worth much for futures wagers. BetUS has the following futures wagers available on the Arizona Cardinals: Over 7 Reg Season Wins
