2007 NFC North Predictions2007 Chicago Bears Predictions & Season PreviewNow you can read up on our 2008 Chicago Bears NFL predictions & season preview! The Chicago Bears are going to have to deal with a lot of problems they had in the off-season. Tank Johnson is going to be spending some time in jail and he's going to miss the first eight games. Lance Briggs is threatening to sit out the season rather than play for his discounted salary. Ron Rivera wasn't rehired to man the defense again and Thomas Jones was shipped off to the Jets. Still, this team has as much talent as anyone in the league. Bet our 2007 Chicago Bears Predictions at Bodog, the most trusted name in sports betting! Even though Rex Grossman has been around for four years now, last year was his first season as a full-time starter. The Bears are hoping that he will have learned a few things along the way to help him smooth out some of the ups and downs he had last year. He won't have Thomas Jones carrying the ball for him, but the Bears think that Cedric Benson has a bigger upside. He's bigger, faster, and a more powerful runner and should be a real work-horse. The receiving group the Bears have is full of above-average guys without a real no. 1. Muhsin Muhammad is a great possession guy, and Bernard Berrian is the speedy deep threat. The team also has a pair of tight ends with Dez Clark and Greg Olsen. The defensive lines has plenty of question marks at tackle with Johnson's suspension and Harris's injury a year ago. The ends are getting paid a lot of money and are going to have to live up to the expectations. If Briggs plays, then the Bears have the best tandem of linebackers in the league when he's out there with Brian Urlacher. There isn't a lot of depth at this position, so if Briggs is out then this is going to be a thin spot on the defense. In the secondary the Bears have to be happy with their corners in Charles Tillman, Nathan Vasher, and Ricky Manning, Jr. Now the Bears have hard hitters in Adam Archuleta and Mike Brown at the safety position, making this a quality secondary to reckon with. When it comes to the Bears over-under win totals, we have to go with the over. This division is so weak that you have to think they are going to be racking up plenty of easy wins, and even though 10-6 is where our projections find Chicago, there is a higher chance they go over that then under, so we are putting a small wager on the over ourselves. We also like this team to win the division and conference, so take a look at these prop bets. BetUS has the following futures wagers available on the Chicago Bears:
