2007 Florida Gators Football Preview & Predictions

Now take a look at our 2008 Florida Football Predictions!

Jimmy Boyd has finished his 2007 Florida Gators football preview and predictions article and more bright things are in this school's future.  Even though it's tough to keep a group of guys focused after a run like they had last season, Urban Meyer is a good enough coach where he should be able to do so.  Of course, just because we think they are going to be good this year doesn't mean you should take them every week with your college football betting.  Beating the college football odds is a little bit tougher than that, and that is why you should trust an expert handicapper like Jimmy Boyd to guide you to the promise land with his winning college football picks.  We have been winning for our clients for years now, and we would love to do the same for you this season.

Tim Tebow won't have to wait any longer behind Chris Leak as this is his team now.  This hard-hitting runner also can throw the ball, but he'll have a lot more pressure now that he's the main guy.  Good thing he will have some great targets in Andre Caldwell and the talented Percy Harvin to take the heat off.  Even though he can take a pounding, he still needs time to throw and a veteran offensive line should give him plenty of that.  Tebow is the leading returning rusher, as junior Kestahn Moore was used sparingly, but he'll be a threat in the backfield.

The defense only returns one starter and that is Tony Joiner at strong safety.  It's a good thing they have had such talented recruiting classes because you'll see a lot of sophomores and freshman on the field who are loaded with ability.  There are a lot of questions surrounding this group because they haven't had very much experience, but there is no doubting there talent.  It will be interesting to see who emerges as the next round of superstars.

Meyer wants to build upon the successes of last season and not just let everyone have an emotional letdown.  That shouldn't be tough when so many players on defense didn't get a chance to make a name for themselves a year ago, and the offense has some guys who want to step up and be the man.  Getting Tennessee, Auburn, and Florida State at home will help, but the big games come at LSU and in Jacksonville when they take on Georgia.
