2007 Florida State Seminoles Football Preview & PredictionsUse Jimmy Boyd's 2007 Florida State Seminoles football preview and predictions will once again give our readers a head start on their college football betting this year. We want everyone who visits our site to have a better year of gambling then they have ever had before and that is why we fully recommend signing up for our college football picks. Each week there will be nobody who works harder to beat the college football odds than Jimmy Boyd and his staff as they scour the papers for more information that most average bettors can handle. This is the reason that we are the best handicapping team in the nation year in and year out.
The offensive staff has been retooled in order to revamp the 103rd yard rushing game and a stagnant offense. Bobby Bowden wants to prove that his time is not up and that he still has what it takes to contend on the national level. The offensive line has gotten a ton of work and with only one returning starter, last year's woes hopefully won't carry over. Antone Smith will manage most of the ball carrying duties but he only had 88 carries for 456 yards and 5 touchdowns a year ago. At quarterback there are two options, the experience Drew Weatherford who threw for 2,154 yards but had 11 interceptions to go with 12 touchdowns, or the athletic Xavier Lee who is more of a threat with his legs. De'Cody Fagg is a good possession receciver while Greg Carr is looking to build upon a decent first couple of seasons. There aren't a lot of deep threats in this group though. The defense lost a couple of linebackers but with seven returning starters the Noles should rank better than 18th in yards allowed. Up front Florida State will once again be tough with Andre Fluellen clogging things up for opposing rushers, but the only problem is the pass rush, which had trouble getting to the quarterback last season. Geno Hayes is still in the middle of the defense and his side-to-side playmaking ability should help the team be tough once again against he rush. Myron Rolle and Tony Carter are two outstanding defensive backs that should help improve the 56th ranked pass defense. Florida State will have winnable schedule in September before getting Alabama. October is a big month with a visit to Wake Forest and a home game against the Miami Hurricanes. Three out of their last four games are going to be tough battles on the road as the Seminoles head to Boston College, Virginia Tech, and Florida. Last year a 7-6 record and a 3-5 ACC mark didn't bode well with the faithful. This year eight wins seems pretty likely and a trip to the ACC Championship game as this is the best team in the ACC Atlantic.
