2007 Georgia Tech Basketball Predictions & Season
Preview
With our 2007
Georgia Tech basketball predictions
and season preview we see a team
that is tough to get a true handle
on. The Yellow Jackets lost
their co-leading scorers in Javaris
Crittenton and Thaddeus Young to the
NBA, and they provided the spark
that took the team to 20 wins a year
ago. However, the team will
bring as many as four starters to
the court to begin the game, and
that tends to keep teams in ball
games. Experience is a rare
thing in today's world of NCAA
basketball, but the players that
tend to stay around the whole time
are a touch lower on the talent
level than the young stars who bolt
early. The freshman will have
to come in and contribute right away
if the Jackets hope to make the
dance.

The good news in the front court is the team is going to have depth, so much so
that predicting the starters at small and power forward nearly impossible.
Mouhammad Faye may be 6'10" but he's the early leader at the swingman spot as he
played a lot of shooting guard a year ago. D'Andre Bell is a defensive
stud though who knows how to play the game of basketball and should provide some
intense competition. Jeremis Smith is a senior who started 55 games over
the last two years. He's athletic and can rebound, but isn't a threat on
offense. Gani Lawal is an incoming freshman who is a McDonald's
All-American and will challenge Smith for a starting role at the power forward
spot. There is also sophomore Zach Peacock who played almost 20 minutes a
game last season. Ra'Sean Dickey is a 6'10" senior who will hold down the
center spot, but Alada Aminu will be right there with him. Brad Sheehan is
the freshman 6'11" center brought in for the future who will also see time down
low.
Matt Causey transfers to Georgia Tech for his senior season after spending time
at Georgetown and North Georgia. He will be the starting point guard as
long as he can hold off incoming freshman Maurice Miller. Lewis Clinch
will be at the off-guard spot and is the highest returning scorer from a year
ago, he'll be looked upon to provide the points once again in 2007.
Anthony Morrow will hold down the fort until Clinch returns from suspension,
which will be after the holidays. Morrow is a very accurate gun who can
knock down the long range shot.
Knowing how teams like Georgia Tech will start the year will give you a good
chance of beating the college baskeball
odds from November through the end of March Madness, but if you really want
to rack up the profits and build your bankroll then you should get signed up
with Jimmy Boyd. His college
basketball picks are second to none as he scours the lines each night before
settling down on the games that the odds makers missed the mark. If you
are tired of losing then get signed up today and start winning with the best in
the business.
