Odds to Win the 2007 Heisman
The latest odds to win the 2007 Heisman Trophy
have been posted by a couple of
online sportsbooks
so we decided to have a closer look in order to help
anyone who wishes to bet on this prop be more successful.
The favorites out of the gate were John David Booty and
Steve Slaton, but that talk didn't last very long as
both kind of struggled and neither made it to the final
four invited to New York. If you are looking to do
some more
college football betting on who is going to bring
home the hardwood, check out the odds and preview below.

Tim Tebow
1/10
Darren McFadden
4/1
Colt Brennan
20/1
Chase Daniel
20/1
The odds on favorite right now is Tim Tebow, who is getting 60% of the
betting action even though he's such a heavy favorite at most of the books.
He put up 51 touchdowns this season and has been one of the favorites since his
dominance became apparent early in the season. The only thing that this
kid has going against him is just that, he's a kid. An under-classmen has
never won the Heisman Trophy, but this guy should be and probably will be the
first to do so. If you want to bet on him do it at
Sportsbook.com using your credit card.
Darren McFadden is also getting a look and has the best shot at the upset,
he's getting 20% of the betting action. This guy probably will be no. 1 to
go in next year's draft, but he was a little inconsistent on a team that failed
to meet expectations. he still had 1,725 rushing yards with 21 catches,
164 receiving yards and 20 trips to the end zone. His big game against LSU
did put him back in the front of the pack, and the fact that most voters prefer
experience and age could give him a shot at winning.
Both Colt Brennan and Chase Daniel are listed as heavy underdogs, and Daniel
isn't getting hardly any of the action after Missouri lost so handily to
Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game. Brennan is the only player left
from an undefeated team, which usually means big things for candidates and his
4,174 yards on an offense that put up 47 points per game is hard to ignore.
The problem is that he didn't face any intense competition all year long and he
was out for most of two games with injuries. Still, his ability should put
him at the top of the NFL odds for the first
quarterback drafted. If Daniel had guided the Tigers to the BCS
Championship by beating the Sooners, he would probably be carrying home the
Heisman Trophy as well, but as of now he's most likely going to be bringing up
the rear when to the four invitees.
