Stay away from Circular Quay, Cowton Cat, Curlin, Liquidity, Nobiz like Shobiz, Hard Spun, Tiagro, Street Sense, Dominican.  Street Sense is a popular won because he dominated at the Breeders' Cup Juvenile.  He has also beaten Any Given Saturday in a great race in Tampa, a race in which he set the track record.  His style is to get to the rail and try to blow horses away.  This isn't his kind of race with all the bumping that will be going on in the Derby, plus he'll be going against a deep set of stiff competition, there is no value in this horse with your Kentucky Derby betting.

Nobiz Like Shobiz is another horse that has had some dominating performances and thus will lure the bets of many hopefuls.  The problem with this horse is that he got a third at the Fountain of Youth, in which the excuse was too much bumping.  Again this is what the Derby is all about so he's going to be in for a real treat and we don't like his chances.

Hard Spun is one of those inconsistent horses that we like to stay away from.  He's shown promise many times, but he's also shown that he can finish out of the money without a wimper.  Another problem with this horse seems to be endurance, and with this being a long race we don't think he can keep up the pace.

Horse to take a look at are Zanjero, Stormello, Sam P, Cobalt Blue, Any Given Saturday.

I like a lot of long shots and think those show the most value, but Any Given Saturday is my favorite of the "contenders" and will be the horse that gets the most money wagered on him by myself.  He's got three firsts, a pair of seconds, and a third on his resume.  He's also got one hell of a trainer in Todd Pletcher, who set a record in 2006 for total purse amount won and has been named the nation's top trainer three years in a row.  Put your cash on Any Given Saturday on Derby Saturday and cash in with our 2007 Kentucky Derby predictions.  If you want to see which horse you believe shows value then take a look at our Kentucky Derby Odds page.
