2007 LSU Tigers Football Preview & PredictionsNow take a look at our 2008 LSU Football Predictions! Jimmy Boyd's 2007 LSU Tigers football preview and predictions show one of the best teams in college football. This doesn't mean that you should blindly take them in every game next year with your college football betting though. If you want the best chance of beating the college football odds this season and make the most money then you should take a look at Jimmy's college football picks package. You simply aren't going to have a better chance at beating the spreads than you will with his help.
Even without JaMarcus Russell, LSU is going to be more than fine at the quarterback position with senior Matt Flynn at the helm. He has poise and experience, which will allow him to manage the game wisely. At running back there is a ton of talent and a lot of guys returning who saw action a season ago. We are sure new offensive coordinator Gary Crowton will find ways to use them effectively. The Tigers lost a lot at receiver, but with a lot of athletic, speedy players returning the lack of experience shouldn't hurt them. The Tiger defense has been one of the best in the country over the last several years, and ranked third in total yards against a season ago. Tyson Jackson at end and Glenn Dorsey at tackle will both be mentioned for national awards at the end of the season, and set the tone for a mean set of guys behind them. All three starters return at linebacker, and Bo Pelini will rely on these three a lot. The two corners are both lock down types that will allow the Tigers to use as much man-to-man coverage as they want, and these two won't be burnt. Neither safety returns, but Craig Steltz led the team in picks a year ago as a nickel back, he should fit in at strong safety. LSU has the kind of schedule that has us licking our chips thinking about a national title team. Home games against Virginia Tech, Florida, Auburn, and Arkansas with all winnable road games. This team would have to be upset not to make the SEC Championship game, which will most likely be against the Gators. We would be surprised not to see them in the running for the national title game at the end of the season.
