2007 Ole Miss Rebels Football Preview & Predictions
When taking a look at Jimmy Boyd's 2007 Ole Miss
Rebels football preview and predictions remember
that this team has not had much success at all in recent
years. These are schools that normally provide an
underdog value and that you can use to increase your
winning percentage against the
college football
odds. Of course if you really want to take your
college
football betting to the next level then we recommend

The offensive numbers should improve this year, but it's hard
not to after ranking 108th in the nation in scoring and 111th in yards gained a
year ago. The problem is at quarterback, where Brent Schaeffer has been a major
disappointment ever since starting as a freshman at Tennessee a few years ago.
He most likely will start this season as a backup. The running game should be in
good hands as BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 1,000 yards a year ago and will be
running behind a line that returns four of five starters.
The defense will most likely have two starters that were in the lineup a year
ago, and the biggest loss is Patrick Willis at linebacker. Peria Jerry, Marcus
Tillman and Greg Hardy should give the Rebels at least a decent shot at taking
care of their own in the trenches, while junior college transfer Tony Fein is
more than capable at middle linebacker. The secondary will be led by an
excellent strong safety in Jamarca Sanford.
Ole Miss's key game will come at the end of the season when they head to
Mississippi State. Other
than that there aren't a lot of wins on the conference schedule unless they can
pull an upset at Vanderbilt or
at home against LSU. This is going to be
one of the worst teams in major college football this year. It's going to
take some time for this program to get turned around and it's a wonder why both
teams out of the state of Mississippi are the two worst in the SEC.
