How check out the 2008 Stanford football predictions we have posted!

With our 2007 Stanford Cardinal football preview and predictions we don't see much progress over last year's team that won just a single game while losing eleven.  This of course doesn't mean that we won't ever be taking the school with any of our premium college football picks, since beating the spreads is more about value than who is going to win the game out right.  If you want to get off to successful start with your college football betting, then sign up with us today.  We have more experience in beating the college football odds than nearly everyone else in the world, so why no take advantage.

TC Ostrander has started 22 games in the past, but was always a backup.  Now as a senior he'll have the chance to show he can build on the experience.  He is a smart guy with a lot of athletic ability, but if this offensive line is as weak as it was last year he's going to be running from defenders more than looking for receivers.  The team gave up 50 sacks last year which was most in the nation.  At tailback there are plenty of questions with two returners, but both of them failed to get to even 500 yards on the year due to one of the worst rushing games in the nation.  This offense was painful to watch last season, and if the line can't improve that will be the case again this year.

Defensively the team couldn't get to the quarterback, and let the opposition run all over them.  The front four all returns, and new head coach Jim Harbaugh thinks that the unit can be the best on the defense.  Sophomores fill the linebacking corps and Brian Bulcke and Clinton Snyder have the potential to be good players during their careers.  The team has a decent pair of corners, but the safety position is one of the weakest on the team and could be succeptible to the big play, that is if the team's decide running all over the Cardinal is getting too easy.

Looking at this schedule there are not a lot of games that we think Stanford has a chance to win outright.  The best opportunity is a home stand against the Washington Huskies and then possibly at home against Arizona State.  Winning on the road will be next to impossible with a trip to Washington State the best chance.
