The current 2007 Super Bowl odds are already out and there is no real
clear cut favorite. A lot of parity in the NFL in recent years has led to
a lot of unsuspecting teams pulling through. This year the Chargers,
Ravens, and Bears are listed as the sportsbooks favorites to
make it to the big dance and take home the Lambardi Trophy. There isn't
any other team that is a single digit to one favorite to win it all so let's
look at some teams that are under-rated and teams that are not worth the value
the books are giving them.
Back in the beginning of the year we thought Arizona showed some promise as a
30-1 dog, boy were we off on that one, but we did say stay away from the Bengals
and Giants who were vastly over-rated. For now we would say the Seahawks
at 20-1 show a nice value, as do the Eagles at 14-1. Both of these teams
have the talent to win the dance. We like to stick with the value being
shown in the NFC, they will be an underdog most likely in the Super Bowl, but
you are getting a lot of value and someone has to break though.
Stay away from the Chargers at 2.5 to 1. Rivers has struggled and Marty
is notorious for playoff melt downs. The Bears at 5-1 might be a little
over-valued in comparison to the other NFC teams with the struggles of Rex
Grossman. Whatever you decide to do, good luck this post-season, but if
