Tiger Woods is a two-time U.S. Open Champion winning in 2000 at Pebble Beach and in 2002 at Bethpage. Ernie Els is also a two-time winner of this event, but he has not won it in 10 years. That is why he is among the favorites despite being just 24th in FedEx Cup points and 29th on the money list. Retief Goosen is of course another two-time U.S. Open Champion winning in 2001 and most recently in 2004 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. You can nab last year’s champ Geoff Ogilvy at 25/1 odds and 2003 champ Jim Furyk at 22/1 odds. Notice that Phil Mickelson is yet to win a U.S. Open Championship. Perhaps this will be Lefty’s year to finally shine.
