Let’s take a look at some of this week’s lines before you start with any NFL betting. New Orleans started the season 0-4, now it is a double digit favorite over the winless Rams. But St. Louis is coming off a much needed bye week. Could the books be overvaluing the Saints?

I never thought I’d see the Bills as a road favorite this season, but Buffalo has won three in a row and it takes on the winless Dolphins this week. Miami finds itself in basically the same situation as the Rams coming off a bye week. Could this be Miami’s opportunity to get on the board? With this line opening at 3 points in favor of Buffalo and some books listing the Bills as 2.5-point favs, oddsmakers don’t appear to be completely convinced in Buffalo’s road ability yet.

Oddsmakers faced the Steelers with a big number on MNF against the Ravens and they succeeded with flying colors. The books have wasted no time facing them with another 9.5-point spread this week at home against the Browns. Obviously, oddsmakers feel the Steelers are by far the best team in this division.
