I’m going to start with the last matchup of the week. The Green Bay Packers head to the Mile High City to take on the Denver Broncos. The Broncos just one loss team, the Pittsburg Steelers, its second loss of the season on Sunday Night Football. Now, Denver will get the chance to hand Green Bay its second loss of the year on the Monday nighter. While the Broncos were underdogs at home against Pittsburgh, that win has oddsmakers convinced. Denver opens as a three-point favorite at home in this one.

The Pats have been faced with yet another big number this week. Offshore sportsbooks have them opening as high as 17-point home favorites against 4-2 Washington. The Patriots have left oddsmakers no choice having won by fewer that 20 points only once this season. In that game, they won by 17. The Patriots have also managed to beat every number the books have thrown at them this year, improving to 7-0 against the spread with last week’s win. Washington is among the best defensive teams in the league only allowing 14.7 points per game. Under normal circumstances, there’s no way they would ever be this big of an underdog.
