2007-08 Chicago Bulls Predictions & Season
Preview
With a look at our 2007-08
Chicago Bulls predictions and season
preview article you'll see a
team that we think has the pieces
together to contend for a title.
They didn't make one of the flashy
moves people were hoping for in
Kevin Garnett or Kobe Bryant, but
the team wasn't that far off a year
ago and didn't want to dismantle
their young nucleus. The team
did go out and get Joe Smith to give
them some interior scoring, and got
Joakim Noah in the first round of
the draft to help with inside
defense. The Bulls have the
type of team that will win 50 games,
get a top seed, and make a deep run
into the playoffs, but whether they
can go all the way will be up in the
air.

The front court saw a breakout season from Luol Deng last year
when he put up almost 19 points per game at the small forward
spot. He'll be even better this year in our estimation.
At center, Ben Wallace will have now had a year in the system
and should be a better fit with his team mates than he was under
Skiles a year ago. Tyrus Thomas and Noah are both young
and raw on offense, but they are as athletic as they come for
their size and can run the floor while playing solid half-court
defense. Andrew Nocioni is another guy who should continue
to improve in his 4th year in the league, and Smith will help
out with scoring.
The backcourt has two studs in Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich.
Gordon led the team in scoring with 21.4 ppg and is a lights out
shooter. Hinrich is dependable on both ends of the floor
and can knock down the three with almost anyone in the league.
For depth the team has the true point guard in Chris Duhon, and
the second year player Thabo Sefolosha from Switzerland.
Both of these guys are more than capable to fill in when needed
and Adrian Griffin gives the Bulls added depth.
Chicago swept the Heat in the first round of the playoffs last
year, but fell flat in the second round to the Pistons.
They should be better with another year's worth of experience
this year. If you want to do better this year with your
