2007-08 NBA Predictions2007-08 Boston Celtics Predictions & Season PreviewWe look at the Boston Celtics odds to win the 2008 NBA Finals!
The following is our 2007-08 Boston Celtics season preview and predictions. If you want to get ready for the season then you need to know as much as possible about every one of the teams in the NBA. There is a lot of hope for Celtics fans after getting Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen in a couple of off-season moves. Danny Ainge gave up a lot of youth and depth, but now this team has a legitimate shot to win an NBA title, and we think they are at least poised to win the Atlantic conference and make a serious run. The time is now for Boston as their big three of Garnett, Allen, and Paul Pierce aren't exactly spring chickens, but we think in the Eastern Conference this nucleus is as good as it gets.
In the front court you can pencil in an automatic 20 points and 10 rebounds per game for Garnett. He has been one of the most consistent and reliable forces in professional basketball over the last decade, and should be in the mention for an MVP again this year. He'll be joined by Pierce, who has been carrying Boston since he arrived. Now at 30, he finally will have some help which could make him an even scarier player when opposing teams can't just focus exclusively on him. Depth is an issue with Kendrick Perkins at center, then rookie Big Baby Glen Davis, Leon Powe, and Brian Scalabrine will be in the 2nd-team rotation. The team lost Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair in the deals to acquire Garnett and Allen, but the backcourt should still be set. Rojan Rondo out of Kentucky will man the point guard duties. He's fast, a good rebounder, can defend, and is unselfish. His shot leaves a lot to be desired, but Allen will more than make up for his lack of outside shooting. Even though Allen is now 32, he has averaged more points in his last 2 seasons than any other in his career while being stuck up in Seattle. He'll definitely help spread the floor to open things up for Pierce and Garnett. Backing up those two will be Tony Allen and Eddie House. House is a good shooter and will fill the role Ray Allen plays when he's on the bench, and Tony Allen has talent if he can keep from being injured. Remember that if you want to get the most out of your betting this winter then you'll be sure to pick up a package of Jimmy's NBA picks. We have had plenty of experience in beating the NBA odds and want to help as many as our visitors as possible in beating the sportsbooks. Each day we work harder than anyone else on the planet to beat the point spreads and totals, so if you want our detailed analysis, writeups, and opinion on which team is going to cover then you have come to the right place. Let Jimmy work hard to ensure that this is the most profitable season of NBA betting that you'll ever have. BetUS odds for Boston to Win:
