2007-08 NBA Predictions2007-08 Toronto Raptors Predictions & Season Preview
The 2007-08 season is approaching and you can make sure you get off to a good start with our Toronto Raptors predictions and preview article. Last year the team really exceeded expectations in bumping up their win total over the year before by 20, making the playoffs for the first time since 2001, and taking home the team's first Atlantic Division title. The fans want more, and with nearly the same crew back again with a year of experience in working with each other under their belt, they will probably get a better product. Still, getting out of the first-round is a must this year, and with the experience gained by making the dance last year before bowing out to the Nets, they could be a Finals contender.
The front court will be led by one of the best power forwards in the game, and a guy not a lot of people have heard of in Chris Bosh. Bosh put up 22.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game a year ago, even though he was injured for most of the year. He keeps getting better year after year so look for those numbers to go up this year. Last year's no. 1 pick in Andrea Bargnani proved to be a great compliment to Bosh with his 11.6 ppg average. He can really stretch the floor and should get better in his second year. The other guy down low will be Jorge Garbajosa, who showed how valuable he was when he missed the playoffs due to injury. This guy doees it all as he can score, rebound, pass, and defend. Jason Kopono is expected to fill the scoring role previously held by Morris Peterson, and since Kopono shoots the 3 better than anyone else in the league this should open up the floor more for the guys down low. Anthony Parker showed last season that he still has it after having to play overseas for most of his career. He didn't shoot much, but when he did he was deadly accurate. TJ Ford was one of the most under-rated point guards a year ago finishing 5th in the NBA with 7.9 assists per game, while racking up 14 ppg. Jose Calderon from Spain is a very solid backup point guard, and when him and Ford are in the game together their speed causes problems for the defense. Luke Jackson, Juan Dixon, and Carlos Delfino all provide depth and experience at the guard spot. We hope this article will help you get off to a fast start with your NBA betting this season.
