2007-08 NBA Predictions2007-08 Houston Rockets Predictions & Season PreviewTake a look at the Houston Rockets odds to win the 2008 NBA Finals!
With Rick Adelman in and Jeff Van Gundy out, the 2007-08 Houston Rockets predictions and season preview article should show a lot of optimism for the fans to look forward to. This team is loaded with weapons and is ready to build off a 52 win season in which they were bounced by the Jazz in the first round of the playoffs. This team thinks they have what it takes to make a deep playoff run if the players can stay healthy and things fall right.
Yao Ming might be the best center in the league right now and Adelman plans to get him even more involved in the offense. The guy shoots 87% from the free-throw line so we think in this offense which will find him around the elbow more often will give him a chance to make more jumpers. He still has a few weak spots in his game, mostly in finishing strong around the hoop and when he passively goes after rebounds, but this could be a breakout year for him. Now he has a power forward to bang some bodies in the paint in Luis Scola. Scola was a two-time Spanish League MVP who can finish, has great hands, and is an excellent passer. Shane Battier will start at small forward and should also benefit tremendously from Adelman. Chuck Hayes, Steve Novak, and Dikembe Mutombo will most likely be the second tier coming off the pine. The backcourt should be a lot better this year. Tracy McGrady had 24.6 ppg to go with 6.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds, but the scoring will probably drop with the influx of talent. He will now be surrounded by Mike James, Steve Francis, and Aaron Brooks. This is an athletic group who also has Rafer Alston, Luther Head, and John Lucas III so you won't have to worry about depth or talent. The group is a little small, but Adelman's offense will see these guys shooting from all over and getting plenty of open looks. If you want to win more bets this year then take a look at signing up for Jimmy Boyd's NBA picks. Nobody works harder over the course of the season to make sure that he has all the angles covered. If you have had problems with NBA betting in the past then make those problems a thing of the past by signing up today and finding out what it's like to win night in and night out on the hardwood.
