Favorite Oklahoma Sooners: +150 to win Big 12 at BetUS

The Sooners defeated Missouri in the Big 12 Conference Championship game to earn another title under head coach Bob Stoops. With solid offensive and defensive lines, the Sooners will be tough to stop on both sides of the football again. Sam Bradford is coming off a breakout season. Bradford set a NCAA freshman record by throwing 36 touchdown strikes and led the country in passing efficiency. It’s been a while since they’ve had one this good in a Sooner uniform. With Oklahoma transitioning into a no-huddle offense, the team will put even more pressure on the Big 12 defenses. Oklahoma’s only weak spot may be in the secondary as they have to develop some new cornerbacks. Some of the pass-happy Big 12 teams may be able to take advantage.

SleeperTexas Tech Red Raiders: +550 to win Big 12 at BetUS.com

With QB Graham Harrell and wide receiver Michael Crabtree, the Red Raiders have the deadliest hook up combo in the league. With a line that is considered the best in school history and with three other top notch wideouts, the Red Raiders will be running up the score on everyone they face. Texas Tech hasn’t won an outright conference championship in 53 years, so not only is it due, but it also has a team capable of finally winning another one. The defense is the thing that will have people passing on the Red Raiders, but this unit has consistently improved since Ruffin McNeill took over as defensive coordinator. The Red Raiders will likely have to win at Oklahoma to win the league and that matchup goes down late in the season when both teams will be at their best. At +550, Texas Tech is worth a shot.

Texas and Missouri are next in line after Oklahoma at +200 and +300 respectively. The Tigers made an appearance in the Big 12 title game last season and they are virtually a lock to get back there playing in the weaker North Division. They are led by Heisman Trophy finalist Chase Daniel and bring a prolific offense to the table. The Longhorns are still getting a lot of respect by oddsmakers despite losing three games in conference play last season. Colt McCoy is one of the best signal callers in the league but losing running back Jamaal Charles early to the NFL is going to hurt.
