Odds2008 Kentucky Derby OddsIf you haven't already, it's time you started doing a little research on prize ponies as the May 3rd, 2008 Kentucky Derby will be here before you know it. Jimmy Boyd unveils the 2008 Kentucky Derby Odds according to BodogLife.com in this article to give you a quick run down of the challengers. There is no sportsbook that we recommend more for betting the biggest horse race of the year than Bodog Life. Jimmy Boyd also introduces the different types of Kentucky Derby betting that will be going on in his Derby articles and gives you a little background on this historic race. For those of you new to Derby betting, here's some general knowledge on
this race to get you up to speed. The Kentucky Derby is a Grade I stakes
race for three-year-old thoroughbread horses. The race is held annually on
the first Saturday in May in Louisville, Kentucky at the famous Churchill
Downs race track. The Derby is a one-and-a-quarter mile race, better known
as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports." It is also known as "The Run
for the Roses" and I like to refer to it as the Super Bowl of horse racing
as it draws around 155, 000 fans. This race is also very important in that
it is the first leg of the Triple Crown, followed by The Preakness Stakes
and Belmont Stakes.
