2008 NBA Odds2008 NBA Rookie of the Year OddsOn this page we take a look at the 2008 NBA rookie of the year odds posted by one of the top internet sportsbooks. One of the great things about placing your bets at an online sportsbook is that you get more options to choose from, and betting on different player awards and certain future events are one of those extras. We have you covered here at Locksmith Sports because not only do we list the best names in the business, but we also provide daily NBA picks against the spread and articles to help educate you to turn you into a winner, a winner that gets paid at the end of the year. When you look at the 2007-08 rookie class it seems that Kevin Durant is head and shoulders about the rest, and the odds makers agree by putting him as the -2000 favorite. It's easy to see why when he's playing 32 minutes per game and averaging 19.7 ppg. He has drawn comparisons to George Gervin since he is quick, creative, and can get his shot off against anyone. Durant also seems to be learning more about the game each night, and if this guy doesn't end up taking home the rookie of the year hardware it's most likely going to be due to some injury he sustains. So if you want to take a long shot and a chance at a big payout, who is there to consider? Well we would go with Sean Williams from the New Jersey Nets. This guy isn't getting the minutes he probably needs at 20 per night, but he's making the most of them with 2.2 blocks per game, 5.2 boards, and 7.3 points. This guy is one of the best athletes from this year's draft, and he's learning the game quickly. If he can stay on his feet awhile longer and position himself to get more rebounds instead of getting stuck in the air, he could put up some big second half numbers. At +4000 this guy is worth taking a shot with.
