Big Games This Week Kansas at Missouri - Saturday, January 19th at 7 PM EST on ESPNU - Kansas is hoping to show why they are ranked third in the nation and remain undefeated as they head to Columbia to take on the Tigers. Missouri looked good in their big upset win over Texas. USC at UCLA - Saturday, January 19th at 3:30 PM EST on CBS - USC has struggled but let's see if they can put up a good showing against their cross-town rivals. Marquette at Louisville - Thursday, January 17th at 7 PM EST on ESPN2 - Marquette is ranked 13th and comes into this game at 13-2 while Louisville got off to the slow start and stands at 12-4, but the team seems to be coming around with three straight wins. Michigan State at Minnesota - Sunday, January 20th at 2 PM EST - Michigan State suffered a big loss in only scoring 36 points at Iowa last weekend so let's see how they do on the road against a better team in Minnesota, who stands at 12-3. Last Week Recap Texas A&M has now won eight games by at least 15 points after taking care of Colorado. Do you think Billy Gilespie is wishing he would have stayed with the Aggies? Georgetown suffered their second loss of the season when Pitt knocked them off days after Roy Hibbert's game-winning three pushed them past UConn. Now five teams are all at 3-1 sitting at the top of the Big East. Michigan State showed that they were over-rated by going into Iowa City and losing to the Hawkeyes 43-36. That was the worst scoring performance for a Spartan team in the shot-clock era. UCLA put down Washington State 81-74 to remind everyone just who is the best team in Pac-10 basketball. The Cougars though showed a lot of heart by hitting seven three-pointers in the final 1:30 to keep the game close. January 16th, 2007 |
