NCAA Basketball BettingNCAA Basketball BettingLet's take a look at NCAA basketball betting for January 8th-15th from some of the nation's top conferences. There are some big games this week that we want to take an early look out and make sure gamblers are away of, and we'll talk about what happened to start the 2008 year for NCAA basketball betting purposes.
Big Games This Week
Mississippi (13-0) at Tennessee (12-1) Wednesday, January 9th at 8 PM EST Virginia (10-3) at Duke (11-1) Sunday, January 13th at 8 PM EST on Fox Sports Network. Sean Singletary has done it all this year in leading the conference with 6.8 assists per game and he's third in the conference with 17.8 points per game. Duke will have this game circled on their calendar as well as the Cavs beat the Blue Devils by two in overtime to drop them out of the top 10. Oklahoma (12-3) at Kansas (14-0) Monday, January 14th at 7 PM EST on ESPN. Kansas has a tough opener when they head to Nebraska on Saturday, then they get to turn around and take on an improving Sooner squad. Georgetown (11-1) at Connecticut (10-3) Saturday, January 12th at 2 PM EST on ESPN. This should be a good test for the Hoyas as it seems like the Huskies haven't quite hit their potential yet. We'll see just how good this team is and if they deserve a top five ranking after this game. Last Week Recap West Virginia came out and put up a fine performance against Marquette as they took down the 11th ranked team by 15 points. Ohio State is coming on strong in the Big Ten, and the conference's top three in No. 6 Michigan State, No. 11 Indiana, and No. 21 Wisconsin better take notice. USC continues to drop easy games, losing to both Cal and Stanford. This team needs to get things fixed and quickly. Vanderbilt is a real surprise team. They knocked off UMass last week to run their record up to 15-0 and they are doing it with the SEC's two leading scorers. Shan Foster is putting up 21.1 ppg while Andrew Ogilvy is adding in 19.3 ppg.
