Favorite - Dallas Cowboys: -125 to win the NFC East at Sportsbook.com

Coming off a 13-3 regular season last year to post the best record in the NFC, the Cowboys are favored to win the NFC East. With the best QB/Wide Receiver hook up in the league in Tony Romo to T.O., the Dallas offense will be potent again. The addition of rookie speedster Felix Jones will provide the Cowboys with another big play threat. The defense is a lot more solid than most, but if there is a weakness on this team it has to be in the secondary. The Cowboys were susceptible to giving up big plays last season as over anxious defensive backs, like Roy Williams, were easily sucked in by play action fakes.

Sleeper – Philadelphia Eagles: +300 to win NFC East at Sportsbook.com

The Eagles are coming off a mediocre 8-8 season, but the team which dominated the NFC in this early part of this decade could be back in 2008. It all depends on the health of QB Donovan McNabb of course. The addition of cornerback Asante Samuel could be enough to give the Eagles the best defense in the division this season. Because of McNabb's injuries the past couple seasons, running back Brian Westbrook has taken on a bigger role in the offense. That has allowed the Eagles to become a more balanced team. His big play ability is a big reason why the Eagles could actually pull this off. The addition of rookie wide receiver DeSean action could be huge also. The Eagles desperately need better special teams play and this sub-4.4 guy could be a sparkplug in the return game. With experience and talent everywhere, the Eagles could surprise in a tough division.

The reigning Super Bowl champion New York Giants are listed at +300 odds to win as well and the Washington Redskins are listed at +800 odds to win the NFC East. The Giants are flying under the radar and stand a good chance at winning the division as well. Now that the pressure is off Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning, the team could thrive playing more relaxed football. The Giants are also a good value bet at +300, but the since they are the defending Super Bowl champs, I really can't consider them a full blown sleeper. The confidence gained in knocking the Cowboys out of the playoffs after being swept in the regular season could give the Giants the edge in the division race this year.

The Redskins made a memorable run to the playoffs last season, rallying around the tragic death of Pro Bowl safety Sean Taylor. The addition of premier pass rusher Jason Taylor should help the defense remain solid, but I anticipate the Skins having the weakest offense in the division as they adjust to life without Joe Gibbs.
