Jimmy Boyd has been taken a look at a couple of different
sportsbooks and their odds to win the 2008
NFC Championship in order to prepare for the upcoming NFL season. We
are hard at work during the summer months preparing for our
NFL predictions articles that would be
detailing how we think each team will be performing in comparison to the
expectations being placed on them by the lines makers. Beating the
NFL odds on a weekly basis is hard work and that
is why you should rely on the handicapping experts here at Locksmith Sports.
Jimmy Boyd and his staff put out weekly NFL picks
to beat the point spreads, and if you are interested in beating the lines and
making a little extra money then you should sign up for a season package today.
If you take a look at the odds then you'll find the Chicago Bears
leading the pack. The Bears made it to the Big Game last year
before losing to the Indianapolis Colts, but in recent years teams
that have lost in the Super Bowl have had a tough time making it
back. The expectations are tough and with the Bears it will be
no different this year, but the team has some question marks this
season with Lance Briggs wanting out, Thomas Jones gone, and Rex
Grossman still under center. The Saints are the next most
favored team, and they should be in the running again with both Bush
and McAllister sharing carries and both being more than capable of
tearing down teams on their own. Drew Brees is no slouch of
his own and the defense should be improved over last year.
Some other teams that you should take a look at are the Eagles,
Cowboys, Seahawks, and Panthers. These four teams all had high
hopes a season ago but went down in the playoffs, or in the Eagles
case missed out completely.
There is some value to be had out there. The Giants made
the playoffs last year and should be poised for another run this
season. Can Eli Manning finally get over the hump? The
49ers are a little over-valued in our opinion, but the Cards are
back under the radar. The Redskins are in the toughest
division in football, but this team is two years removed from a
playoff run and the team is just as talented as ever, as long as
they can get the quarterback situation figured out Washington should
make a serious run.
