New York Giants v.
Dallas Cowboys Odds
There are some coaches out there who do not know if having a bye week before
starting the playoffs helps or hurts their team, but Wade Phillips knows that it
can only help this year's Cowboys squad since Terrell Owens has an ankle injury
that will still leave him questionable for this game. Owens limped through
Monday's practice and the team has stated he will be a game-time decision, but
the Dallas players fully expect him to be suited up for this one.
Tony Romo is ready to erase the memory of last year's botched snap. A mistake that cost his team the win against the Seattle Seahawks and sent the Cowboys packing. Romo rebounded for a great regular season in which he passed for 36 touchdowns and 4,000 yards so thoughts of playoff mishaps didn't hurt this guy too much.
Believe it or not, this is the first time these two great franchices have met in playoff action. The team may be in the same division and they have played 91 times since the 1960 regular season, but will Dallas's 54-35-2 SU record, which included a 2-0 2007 season, help the team to victory when it matters most.
If you factor in how the Giants are 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS on the road since dropping their opener in Dallas, and the fact that the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game since the 1996 Wild Card round, this game could go either way.

San Diego
Chargers v. Indianapolis Colts Odds
It was nice to see the San Diego Chargers get the monkey off of their backs last
weekend against the Titans. It was the team's first playoff win in 13
years, and that lack of a victory in the postseason cost Marty Schottenheimer
his job a year ago.
Even with the win, San Diego took their time getting going last weekend. Even though the Chargers had the 5th best offense in 2007, they were shutout in the first half before getting it together in the second. This week the Bolts head to the RCA Dome in Indianapolis to take on the defending Super Bowl Champions and they are going to need to play 60 minutes to the best of their ability if they want to win.
The Chargers have already beaten the Colts once this year, but it was a close game on their home field and Peyton Manning threw six interceptions. Even with all of that going in San Diego's favor it took a missed 29 yard field goal by the game's best in Adam Vinateri to seal the Charger win.
These two teams could have also had their fortunes swing the opposite way this week when it was announced Marvin Harrison would be back in the lineup, while Antonio Gates could be out. If Gates is sidelined then the advantage lies with Indy.
The latest odds over at SportsBetting.com have the Colts favored by 8.5 points with the total set at 47.
Seattle Seahawks v.
Green Bay Packers Odds
A lot has been and will be made about the homecoming for Mike Holmgren and Matt
Hasselbeck to Lambeau Field this weekend, and you can bet that they want a
little redemption from their last playoff visit here. After telling the
referee that Seattle wanted the ball and they were going to score, he went out
and threw an interception to Al Harris that was returned the other way for a
touchdown. A lot has been made of that statement and this week he'll try
to live up to those words.
Seattle has one of the best defenses in the league and will get to try and pressure a young Packers offense that hasn't had this much on the line in any previous game. The Packers' defense has also played extremely well this year, but the Seattle offense is loaded with experience.
The reason that Seattle didn't finish off Green Bay last time was the receivers couldn't catch the ball. That shouldn't be a problem this week with Branch, Hackett, and Engram all as reliable as they come.
If you want to bet this game at SportsBetting.com the line is set at Green Bay -8 and a total of 41.
Jacksonville
Jaguars v. New England Patriots Odds
The Saturday night matchup should be a good one between the Jags and Pats.
It seems like the pressure is on New England right now as the public wants to
see them follow up on their 16-0 season with three more in the playoffs.
Anything less would be seen as a failure by most and the players probably feel
the same way. Odds makers think that New England probably won't be having
a problem as they are listed as nearly a two touchdown favorite over
Jacksonville.
