One of the things that you have to be ready for every season when approaching your NFL betting are the quarterback controversies that come up during training camp and the preseason. This year will be no exception but the guys at BetUS Sportsbook have posted some odds on who is going to get the starting jobs. Remember that these odds are a little outdated and will be subject to change with each passing game, but if you want to back your guy and have a little extra incentive to root for him, then place a small wager on any of these palyers.

Let’s take a look at the teams:
Baltimore – To start things off it’s a three-man race between the favorite Kyle Boller, second year man Troy Smith, and Joe Flacco. We don’t think Flacco has much of a shot but there is some underdog value in Troy Smith, who proved that he had potential at the end of last year. Boller was pretty much terrible for the Ravens before they brought in McNair, and we doubt much has changed.
Kyle Boller 1/2
Troy Smith 3/1
Joe Flacco 4/1
Miami – The situation in Miami is pretty much anyone’s guess, but have to think that Josh McCown with his experience and talent is the front runner here. John Beck and Chad Henne are both long shots, and we don’t think they muster up the same expectations as McCown.
Josh McCown 1/1
John Beck 3/1
Chad Henne 3/2
Arizona – You wouldn’t think there would be much controversy here, but when healthy Kurt Warner has proved that he is a better than average NFL player. Matt Leinhart has gotten into some trouble this off-seaosn and his play has been shaky at best. He’ll probably still be the starter though so don’t expect much value here.
Kurt Warner 5/2
Matt Leinhart 1/3
San Francisco – Wow, Alex Smith has struggled ever since being named the no. 1 pick in the draft. Rumor is that this race is closer than one would think, and if you want some value then you might want to take a look at either Hill or O’Sullivan. Either way this passing game is going to be an eye sore.
Alex Smith 1/4
Shaun Hill 3/1
JT O Sullivan 5/1
