SEC East

1st Georgia Bulldogs - The Dawgs may have a tough schedule with Arizona State, Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech, but they also have the most complete roster in the SEC and I believe that will help them to victory in those tough games. Georgia should win the East and challenge for a national title.

2nd Florida Gators – With Heisman Trophy winning QB Tim Tebow returning along with WR Percy Harvin, the Gators' offense will be a juggernaut again. Florida's defense held them back last year and that will be the reason why Georgia takes the top slot.

3rd Tennessee Vols – The Vols are a solid team which will fall victim to a tough division. Losing QB Erik Ainge will undoubtedly hurt some, but lots of weapons at receiver and running back will cushion some of the blow.

4th South Carolina Gamecocks – The Gamecocks had the worst run defense in the SEC last season and a suspect offensive line does not go in their favor either. Head coach Steve Spurrier will keep them in games with his innovative offensive, but in the end S.C. doesn't have enough horses.

5th Kentucky Wildcats – With the loss of star QB Andre Woodson, Kentucky's last place scoring defense will really show this season. After back-to-back eight win campaigns, it looks like the Cats will fall short of the .500 mark.

6th Vanderbilt Commodores – Vandy's defense was solid last season and will be again, but there is nothing on the other side of the ball. Vandy was 11th in the SEC in total yards last year and without receiver Earl Bennett in the mix this season, the offense will be in even worse shape.

SEC West

1st LSU Tigers – Slew of talent remains for the defending national champs. With great offensive and defensive lines, the Tigers can overcome the loss of QB Ryan Perrilloux.

2nd Auburn Tigers – The Tigers' new spread option offensive worked well in last year's bowl game and I expect it to continue to give teams problems this season. Auburn has a chance to win the West by beating LSU at home in late September.

3rd Alabama Tide – Nick Saban's rebuilding project continues and it won't be long before this team is challenging for tops in the West with a top notch recruiting class coming in.

4th Mississippi State Bulldogs – This team is all defense and that defense is good enough to keep the Bulldogs in just about every game, but the worst offense in the SEC drags them down.

5th Mississippi Rebels – The Rebels likely won't be worth a lick this season, but the future looks bright with the hire of long time Arkansas head man Houston Nutt.

6th Arkansas Razorbacks – It doesn't seem right with the Razorbacks on the bottom of my list, but with the key losses of Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Marcus Monk, it's going to be tough to win games.
