The IBF Middleweight championship bout is all set for Saturday, May
26th, 2007 and the Abraham Demers odds are now
posted. Arthur Abraham is the current champ and is
a native of Yerevan, Armenia. He won the title
back in December of 2005 when he beat Kingsley Ikeke by
knocking him out in the fifth round. This is one
of the toughest fighters you are going to find, and he
proved it in defending his title back in September when
he won a controversial decision against Edison Miranda
even with his jaw being broken in two places.
Sebastien Demers is a Canadian middleweight who is 27 years old with the nickname of Double Trouble.
His record stands at 20-0 with nine knockouts, yet he
hasn't fought a lot of tough contests. He has won
the Canadian light middleweight title, Quebec light
middleweight title, and recently beat Ian MacKillop for
the vacant IBF International Middleweight title.
He has gotten things done every time he has entered the
ring and should poise to be some tough competition for
the champ.
The sportsbooks are really expecting Abraham to retain his
title in this fight and they are expecting the fight to
end before the 9th round. The most interesting bet
in our book would be the round totals. You won't
be getting the large amount of juice that you will if
you want to lay on Abraham, which is who we think will
most likely win this fight.
