Note: I do not personally bet any of these games as they are my weakest leans of the day and will not hit at as high of a percentage as the plays I have on the premium side. If you’re interested in betting these plays and where I got these lines, check out my NBA odds pages.
Orlando Magic -7.5
The Magic were well documented as one of the best road teams in the NBA last season and they are picking up right where they left off in 2008-09. The Magic are 26-12 against the spread in all games this season and 14-5 straight up and against the spread on the road. The lowly kings are only 7-12 straight up and against the spread at home. They are coming off a big win over the Dallas Mavericks and I certainly do not expect them to be able to put together back-to-back strong performances. After all, the Kings have not won consecutive games since early November. Orlando is more talented at nearly every position and has a big edge on the interior with Dwight Howard. This was made completely evident in an earlier season 121-103 win by the Magic. Orlando is 15-4 against the spread in non-conference games this season and 11-2 against the spread in road games against Pacific division opponents over the last 3 seasons. Bet the Magic at -7.5 at BetUS and receive up to 145 percent in sign up bonuses.
Minnesota Timberwolves +1
The public is piling on Miami here, but the Heat are a fatigued road weary team and they will not have an answer for Al Jefferson inside. The Timberwolves have quietly won five straight games and are 6-0-1 against the spread over the last seven. Minnesota has had Miami’s number at home, winning nine of the last 12 meetings and going 8-3-1 against the spread in those contests. The Heat are a team that tends to play up or down to the level of its competition. Dwayne Wade will show up every night but the rest of the guys won’t. It comes as no surprise that Miami is just 12-23 ATS versus poor teams that are outscored by their opponents by 3 or more points per game over the last 2 seasons. The Heat are losing by an average score of 95.2 to 97.1 in these spots. Bet the Timberwolves at +1 at Bookmaker and receive a 20 percent cash sign up bonus.
Hawks/Suns Over 213.5
The Suns started the season trying to play a little bit slower pace while switching their focus to defense. Since all that did was get them off to a slow start, the Suns are now running and gunning and it has started to bring them success. The Suns have scored 100 or more points in 13 of their last 14 games and have broke the 110-point mark in 8 of those games. Because Phoenix is pushing the tempo, it is also giving up more points. Its opponents have broke the century mark in 16 of their last 19 games. The Hawks have gone over in four straight and seven of their last eight. The Suns have gone over in 14 of their last 19. Bet the Hawks/Suns Over 213.5 at BetUS.
