Note: I do not personally bet any of these games as they are my weakest leans of the day and will not hit at as high of a percentage as the plays I have on the premium side. If you’re interested in betting these plays and where I got these lines, check out my NCAA Basketball odds pages.
Purdue Boilermakers -4
If Purdue had not lost its first two Big Ten games, it would likely be an 8-point favorite tonight. I’ll thank the Boilermakers for losing those though as it gives us better value here. Purdue is still the best team in the Big Ten in my opinion and now that it is healthy, it is ready to make a run for the title. Purdue looked good a few days ago when it beat Wisconsin by double digits and a struggling Northwestern team should be no problem tonight. Northwestern is 7-1 at home but most of those wins were against non-conference nobodies. The Wildcats are off to an 0-3 start in the Big Ten and have now lost five straight games against the spread. Purdue has dominated Northwestern in recent years, bringing a 4-0 straight up and against the spread mark into this game over the last three seasons in this head to head matchup. Finally, we’ll play against home underdogs of 3.5 to 9.5 points after scoring 60 points or less against an opponent after playing a game where both teams scored 65 points or less. This system is 77-38 against the spread the last five seasons. Bet Purdue at BetUS and receive up to 145 percent in sign up bonuses.
Wisconsin Badgers -6.5
Minnesota is 15-1 but is still catching 6.5-points against 12-4 Wisconsin? I think the odds makers are tipping their hand. Yes, the Gophers are a quickly improved team under coach Tubby Smith, but they are still young and I don’t think they’ll get the job done tonight against a Badgers team that will be out for revenge after losing to Purdue. Wisconsin has won 16 of the last 19 meetings in this matchup and is a perfect 9-0 at home against the Gophers since 1997. Wisconsin is an exceptional 56-3 at the Kohl Center their last 59 games against conference opponents. We’ll make the lay. Bet Wisconsin at Bookmaker and receive a 20 percent cash sign up bonus.
Connecticut Huskies -12
This looks like a big number to lay on the road until you realize that St. John’s has lost its best player to a season ending injury. UConn has an advantage both inside and out and is better at every position on the floor. The Huskies are a perfect 7-0 on the road this season and 5-2 against the spread in those games and will gladly welcome the spotlight of playing in Madison Square Garden tonight. St. John’s has lost four of its last five and was absolutely destroyed by Pitt in its last game. The Huskies pose very similar matchup problems for the Johnnies tonight. UConn has too much size and overall talent for St. John’s to keep this one respectable. Bet Connecticut at -12 at BetUS.
