Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals Line
The Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses when they host the Cleveland Browns (4-6) Sunday.
The Bengals are currently listed as a 7.5-point favorite with the total set at 37.5.
Cincy has lost consecutive contests since winning five in a row from Oct. 2 to Nov. 6. It fell 31-24 on the road to division rival Baltimore last Sunday.
Rookie quarterback Andy Dalton completed 24 of 45 passes for 373 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted three times. Eight of those completions went to Jerome Simpson, who led the team with 152 receiving yards.
Cedric Benson led the way on the ground with 41 yards and two scores on 15 carries.
The Browns snapped a three-game losing streak last Sunday with a 14-10 home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Second-year signal caller Colt McCoy connected on 17 of 24 passes for 199 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Five of those completions went to Greg Little, who led the team with 59 receiving yards.
Chris Ogbonnaya led the rushing attack with 115 yards and a touchdown on 21 totes.
With Ogbonnaya’s performance, the Browns improved to 3-1 on the season when rushing for at least 100 yards. They could have trouble reaching the 100-yard mark this week as they face a Cincy stop unit that currently ranks third in the NFL with 88.6 rushing yards allowed per game.
The Browns currently rank 29th in the league with just 93.3 rushing yards per game, but the Bengals have given up over 100 yards rushing in their last two contests.
Cincinnati is 0-3 this season when allowing its opponents to break the century mark on the ground.
The Bengals held the Brown to 83 rushing yards in a 27-17 victory in Cleveland on Sept. 11. That win was their fifth in the last six meetings.
These teams last met in Cincinnati on Dec. 19, 2010. The Bengals earned a hard-fought 19-17 victory that day.
The Browns are 0-7 against the spread in their last seven games as an underdog, but they still might be the play. That’s because the underdog has covered the spread in eight of the last nine meetings in this matchup.
And while the Bengals are 10-2-1 against the number in their last 13 games, they are just 3-13 against the spread in their last 16 home games as a favorite.
In regard to the total, the under has been the play in Cincinnati, where these two have finished under the number in four straight.
The Browns enter this contest having played to the under in each of their last six games. The Bengals have finished over the total in six of their last seven with one push and are 8-1-1 over in all games this season.
