Football Odds: Buffalo at Akron

The Buffalo Bulls will head to Arkon, Ohio tonight to take on the Zips as they try for their fourth straight victory. Both of these Mid-American Conference teams are used to playing weekday games, since they are both coming off appearances last during last week’s weekday slate. Buffalo took care of Miami (Ohio) on November 4th, 37-17 as an 8.5 home favorite. Both teams piled on the yards with the Bulls racking up 476 total yards, including 216 via the rush, while the RedHawks were abel to move the ball 383 yards. The key to the game though was the pair of fumbles Buffalo was able to recover.

Akron also played last Tuesday and took care of the Toledo Rockets 47-30 as a 6.5 home chalk. This game the Zips their second straight win both ATS and SU. Rushing played a big role in moving the ball for Akron as well with 233 of their 458 total yards coming on the ground. Running back Dennis Kennedy was the star of the game with a touchdown and 154 yards on the ground. The Zips got some help with their special teams with a punt return for a touchdown and took a botched extra point back for two points of their own.

As far as the series between these two teams goes, Buffalo has cashed three straight times even though they have won only once straight up. That win came last year by the score of 26-10.

Plenty of trends are supporting the side of this game. The Bulls have won six straight ATS on the road, are 5-0 ATS after a straight up win, and 8-3 ATS in MAC games. Akron is 8-3-1 ATS overall, but the Zips are only 4-10 ATS when they are coming off a straight up win.
