The 5-4 Philadelphia Eagles take on the 4-5 Chicago Bears in the Windy City at Soldier Field on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Both of these teams would just as soon forget Week 10. The Eagles fell 31-23 to the Chargers for a second straight defeat and the Bears fell 10-6 to the 49ers for a second straight loss as well. These two teams last met last season with Chicago pulling off the upset with a 24-20 win. The Eagles have won five of the last seven meetings, but the Bears own a 27-9-1 all-time series lead. The Eagles are expected to be without running back Brian Westbrook Sunday. That means that LeSean McCoy, who has gained 353 yards on 4.1 yards per carry this season, is going to have to step up to fill his big shoes. The 7-2 Cincinnati Bengals head west to take on the 2-7 Oakland Raiders this Sunday in a Week 11 AFC non-conference clash. Last week, Cincy solidified itself as the team to beat in the AFC North with an 18-12 win over rival Pittsburgh to sweep the season series. Last week didn’t go as well for the Raiders, which fell 16-10 to division rival Kansas City. These two teams last met in the 2006 season with the Bengals winning big 27-10, but the Raiders have won three of the last four meetings to take a commanding 19-8 lead in the all-time series. NFL odds makers have listed the Cincinnati Bengals as a 9.5-point favorite with the total set at 36.

A win Sunday would give the Bengals a fifth straight road victory, which is something the team has never done before. While they are nearly a double-digit favorite, pulling off the feat figures to be no easy task as they are 0-8 all-time on the road against the Raiders. The Raiders already showed they can hang with the big dogs on any given Sunday with a win over the Eagles earlier this season so the Bengals will have to avoid any letdowns after an emotional win last week.

It is clear that JaMarcus Russell isn’t the guy for the Raiders, at least for now. Coach Cable made that perfectly clear when he benched him for the second time in three games last week. Last week, Russell was pulled in the third quarter after completing just 8 of 23 passes for 64 yards. It’s hard to say his replacement, Gradkowski, was better as he was picked off twice. He strained his hamstring in last week’s game with the Chiefs and that could keep him out of the starting discussion this week. Whoever Cable ultimately decides on will lead an offense that ranks 31st in the league with a 9.8 points per game scoring average.

It was the defense that helped the Raiders pull off a big upset over the Eagles and it will have to be the defense that does the job again here. The Patriots had to endure a heartbreaking defeat as well, blowing a 17-point lead to fall 35-34 to Indy. Coach Belichick’s decision to go for it on fourth down deep in his own territory has been a big topic of debate all week. These two rivals last met back in Week 2 with New York earning a 16-9 victory, but the Patriots have still won four of the last six meetings. This series has been a good one over the years with New York holding a slim 50-49-1 lead all-time. The books have listed the New England Patriots as a 10.5-point favorite with the total set at 45.

Meanwhile, Arizona overcame a slow start to win for the fifth time in six games with a 31-20 victory over Seattle. Kurt Warner last faced his former team last December, helping the Cardinals pull off a 34-10 win, Arizona’s fifth straight in the series. Cardinals QB Kurt Warner has certainly gotten the best of his former team, and he has especially been good when facing the Rams in St. Louis. Warner has faced the Rams three times at the Edward Jones Dome since departing from the franchise and he has torched them for 273 yards per game and six touchdowns against only one interception. Dockett has been clogging the middle ferociously, and the Cardinals boast the NFL’s eighth-best run stuffing unit because of it. He’ll need to continue his strong play Sunday to keep the Rams’ Steven Jackson from running wild. Jackson ranks third in the NFL with 915 rushing yards and has easily been the Rams’ best weapon this season. If Arizona can shut down Jackson and the St. Louis running game, I have to think they’ll win this one rather convincingly. I’ve harped on second year defensive end Chris Long all season and it appears he may finally be figuring things out. Long has come on strong to record a sack in two straight games since posting a big goose egg through the first seven. He and Leonard Little will need to bring the heat or else the Rams will be at the mercy of Kurt Warner. It is worth noting that the underdog is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings in this matchup. The Dallas running game was looking mighty unstoppable early on but the Cowboys haven’t given it much of a chance in recent weeks. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has gotten pass happy lately and that doesn’t appear to be the best recipe for success for this team. Washington’s offensive line has allowed 31 sacks this season, which is the third highest amount in the NFL. Another Cowboys defender that could be a difference maker is cornerback Terence Newman, who has an interception in seven of his last 10 games against the Skins. Washington is 0-4 on the road this season and it is worth noting that the Cowboys are 20-6-2 ATS in their last 28 home games versus a team with a losing road record. Haynesworth is one of the best, if not the best, defensive tackles in the game, but that incident over three years ago may provide Gurode and the Dallas offensive line with a little extra incentive Sunday. The Vikings got off to a bit of a slow start coming out of its bye week, but they eventually got rolling to win 27-10 over Detroit. These two teams last met in the 2006 season with Minnesota winning 31-13. The Seahawks have gotten the better of the Vikings in recent history, winning three of the last five meetings to take a 6-4 lead in the all-time series. The Minnesota Vikings are listed as a 10.5-point favorite with the total set at 46.5.

Brett Favre is just 4-3 in his career against the Seahawks, but he is 8-1 as a Minnesota Viking, including a perfect 4-0 at the Metrodome. It is worth noting that the Vikings are 1-11-1 ATS in their last 13 games as a favorite of 10.5 or more points. Last week, it looked certain Indy would endure its first loss trailing 31-14 in the fourth, but Peyton Manning brought his team back to squeak out a 35-34 win over the Patriots. They got a little help, too, with coach Bill Belichick deciding to go for it on fourth and two deep in his own territory. The Ravens’ offense didn’t look sharp, but the defense did the job in a 16-0 win over division rival Cleveland on Monday Night Football. These teams last met last season with Indy surprisingly crushing a solid Baltimore team 31-3. That win was the sixth straight for the Colts over the Ravens. NFL odds makers have listed the Indianapolis Colts as a slim 1-point favorite with the total set at 44.5.

You know how the old saying goes; “I’d rather be lucky than good.” The Colts are the living proof of those words this season. Although, I believe good teams mostly create their luck.
