College Football Power Rankings - Week 15

The Florida Gators are favored by 10 points over the #1 team in the nation.  How can you not make them first in the power ranking this week?  Bet the Florida/Alabama game now and get a 50% bonus on your first deposit!

Oklahoma did what they had to against Oklahoma State last week and earned a decisive victory.  At this point in the season a Florida/Oklahoma BCS Title game would be the best match up.

The Alabama Crimson Tide defense looked amazing against Auburn.  It’s certainly a “down” year for the Tigers, but Alabama became a little more legitimate this week with their 36-0 performance.

What have you done for me lately?  It feels like forever since there’s been any buzz surrounding the Longhorns.  They could honestly rank anywhere from #2 to #4 in the power rankings, but Texas’s blowout win over Texas A&M wasn’t enough to overcome the Sooners or the Crimson Tide.

USC rolled Notre Dame 38-3 last week, which is exactly what they were expected to do.  This week they just have to get past UCLA as 30 point favorites to ensure their Rose Bowl bid.  It’s probably not to early to start shopping for those Rose Bowl tickets if you are a Trojan fan.

The Penn State Nittany Lions have a long wait for their next football game, a January 1st match up in the Rose Bowl.  At least they can’t do anything to hurt their power rank position, right?

Utah and Boise State combine for #7 in the power rankings this week.  They’re both undefeated and have both dominated their opponents this year.  Utah may have a slightly better strength of schedule, but I believe the Broncos could have destroyed any of the teams that Utah has faced this year.

Texas Tech fell a bit in the rankings after their loss to Oklahoma.  Last week they barely escaped at home against 4-8 Baylor with a 7 point victory.

Ohio State is another Big 10 team who has a long time to wait before they’ll be playing anymore football.  As far as 2-loss teams go, the Buckeyes are the cream of the crop.

You simply can’t ignore Ball State anymore.  They finished the regular season at 12-0 and will play for the MAC Championship this week against Buffalo.  Ball State is favored by 14.5 points over Buffalo in the MAC Championship game.

TCU has dominated everyone they played besides Oklahoma and Utah.  Since Georgia, Missouri, and Oklahoma State all lost last week, the Horned Frogs have moved up to be our second best two-loss team.

Cincinnati beat Syracuse by 20 points to lock themselves in as the Big East Conference Champion.  The Bearcats’ next game?  Most likely they will be selected to play the ACC Champ in the Orange Bowl on January 1st.
