Like the Sixers with this slim line on Monday. We had this line handicapped at 6.5 so there is some nice value here. We would lean towards the Sixers if the game came out at our handicapped line. The Lakers are a public team and they always get more respect from the oddsmakers and the general betting public than they deserve. They have won three of their last four so they are back on the public’s radar, but the fact of the matter is that this team is just not that good. They are still 3-8 on the road, both against the spread and straight up, and tonight they face one of the most underrated teams in the league. The Sixers continue to get favorable lines despite the fact that they are 16-7-1 ATS overall and 11-4 ATS at home. We think this line came in low partly because of Elton Brand being out for Philly. However, Brand is not the star on this team anymore and he is just one cog for this machine. The Sixers are deep and they have plenty of players that can step up in Brand’s absence. The favorite is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings in this series and we think that trend continues here on Monday. |

Texas is just 6-14 ATS (1 push) in their last 21 games overall. 3-unit Play Take Detroit Red Wings/Phoenix Coyotes OVER (8:05pm EST) The Detroit Red Wings and Phoenix Coyotes hook up in a game that promises to see aggressive play. Detroit is coming off a 5-4 loss in Edmonton on Saturday in a contest that saw 71 shots on goal. This is the last game of a 4-game road trip for the Wings and their defense has looked worse and worse as the trip has progressed. The All-Star break has definitely thrown them off their rhythm and to make matters even worse, the Wings have lost their star goalie Jimmy Howard to an injury for a few weeks. As a result, they'll have Ty Conklin in the net, which is a significant downgrade as he's one of the weakest backups in the NHL. The Coyotes were also involved in a thriller in their last game as they won 5-3 versus San Jose. The Over is 7-3-3- in the last 16 games that Phoenix has played on one day of rest. They should come out aggressive knowing that they have a weak opponent in the net. Finally, the Over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these squads. The fact is that this team is still offensively challenged and they are racing a red hot Louisville team that has won 4 Big East games in a row. Louisville won 2 of the 3 meetings with Connecticut last season and that included a victory in Hartford. The Cardinals are starting to get healthy and expect them to cruise to a victory tonight at the YUM Center. UCONN is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. Louisville is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Monday games. | ||

The line being this low should tell you something as well, since Oklahoma is just 13-9 on the season, but they are 9-3 at home. Missouri is just 18-40 ATS (1 push) in their last 59 road games.
