First off, the Rockets are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in this matchup. Secondly, the Warriors have been fool’s gold in the home chalk as a sizable favorite as they are just 1-8 ATS in their last 9 games as a home favorite of 5.0-10.5 points. Houston was able to hang with a good Portland defensive team last night without Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming and I expect the Rockets to play even better tonight against a Warriors squad that doesn’t exactly know the meaning of the word defense. Aaron Brooks and the Rockets actually thrived while playing an uptempo game in last season’s playoffs against the Lakers and I expect that to be the case again this evening. Houston is an impressive 32-15 ATS after a game where it failed to cover the spread over the last 2 seasons. Take the points.
