Horse Racing Handicapping Coming Off Wins

If you are looking at the smaller circuits, then horse racing handicapping thoroughbreds coming off wins can be a winning proposition.  Think about it this way, if the horse was really that talented and could put together great runs for multiple races in success, then why would they be stuck on the minor circuits and not racing with the big boys?  That is why one strategy we recommend which is easy to follow and use is to not back a horse that has won or ran second in their previous starts at the weaker tracks.

Horses that are in these minor leagues have trouble keeping their form for more than a couple races in a row, and a lot of bettors will be looking at the previous results to see how the thoroughbred fared so the odds are going to be skewed against them.  You have to be able to go back and forth in horse racing betting in order to make money.  Thinking outside the box and taking underdogs who have ran pourly in recent races will leave you with bigger payoffs and a higher chance of profiting over the long term.

The trick is to eliminate horses that ran in the top three the race prior.  It's going to be rare that a horse wins in successive runs, and the horses that do are normally the cream of the crop and are destined for bigger things.  The good news is that you are going to get some hefty payouts taking the weaker ponies which will leave you with some big returns for a low investment.  Remember though that this is a strategy that we employ on the minor circuits, as the quality horses that run the big races are known to keep up their winning ways over long periods of time, so you have to adjust your handicapping to the level of racing at the track.  As always, good luck!
