Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Week 15 Odds & Predictions
The 13-0 Indianapolis Colts look to remain unbeaten when they face off against the 7-6 Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night in a Week 15 AFC South Division showdown. Last week, the Colts held off Denver 28-16 at home while the Jags fell 14-10 to Miami. These two teams last met clear back in Week 1 with Indy pulling out a 14-12 win. That win marked the fourth for the Colts in the last five meetings and Indy now holds a 13-4 lead in the all-time series. NFL odds makers have listed the Indianapolis Colts as 3-point favorite with the total set at 42.

The big question heading into this game is how much playing time Indy’s starters will get. The Colts locked up their sixth AFC South title in the last seven years clear back on November 29th with a 35-27 win at Houston. Then, they wrapped up home field throughout the playoffs with a 28-16 win over Denver Sunday. The Colts have now won an NFL-record 22 straight regular season games and a NFL-high 114 games this decade. However, head coach Jim Caldwell doesn’t seem interested in trying to the run the table. But he did say that his starters would play.
The Colts are 6-2 all-time at Jacksonville, and to improve on that mark, they could use a better game out of Peyton manning. Manning struggled last week against the Broncos, completing a season-low 47.6 percent of his passes, and throwing three interceptions, his most since 2007. Manning should have an excellent opportunity to bounce back strong against a Jacksonville defense ranked just 26th in pass defense (239.5 yards allowed) and last in sacks (14). It is worth noting that the Colts are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 road games. If you like Indy to improve to 14-0 and to cover the spread in the process, bet the Colts at -3 at Sportsbook.com.
If the playoffs started today, the Jaguars would be in, and they can control their own destiny by winning out. So Jacksonville will be lacking no motivation at home Thursday night, where they are 5-2 this season. The key to a Jacksonville win is Maurice Jones-Drew and the running game. This is just Jones-Drew’s first season as the feature back and he appears to be wearing down. He started the season averaging 96 yards per game on 5.1 yards per carry in his first nine games. But he is only averaging 69 yards on 3.4 yards per carry his last four games. To break it down further, the Jags are 6-2 when Jones-Drew rushes for at least 76 yards. Indy has given up an average of 119.7 yards per game on the ground the last three weeks so Jones-Drew could be poised for a big day in a must-win spot. It is worth noting that the Jaguars are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 versus the AFC South. If you like Jacksonville to take care of business at home Thursday, bet the Jaguars at +3 at Sportsbook.com.
