Kansas at Missouri Football Picks & Betting Lines

It’s one of the longest running rivalries in college football and this year’s matchup will take place at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as the No. 12 Missouri Tigers square off against the Kansas Jayhawks. Missouri has won the last two matchups and odds makers are giving them the nod in this one as the Tigers are 15.5 points favorites with the total set at 69.
Kansas looked like they were going to have a repeat season of their 2007 success when they opened the year with wins in five of their first six games, but they have now lost two in a row and four of their last five. The Jayhawks have also been off since November 15th when they were dominated by Texas, 35-7, in front of their home crowd.
Missouri is already guaranteed a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game, but back-to-back losses to Oklahoma State and Texas has put the team out of the title chase. Missouri has bounced back though with four straight wins.
The Jayhawks are led by quarterback Todd Reesing who has completed 65% of his passes for 3,200 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just 10 interceptions. Reesing can also do some damage with his feet, running for four touchdowns. Jake Sharp has ran for 748 yards and 10 touchdowns from the running back spot, while Kerry Meier is the top receiver with 73 catches for 826 yards and five touchdowns. Dezmon Briscoe is another one of Reesing’s favorite targets, catching 69 passes for 11 touchdowns and 1,091 yards.
The Jayhawks defense has held their opponents to just 28.8 points per game and 395.3 total yards per game, but those numbers are inflated due to facing some of the best offenses in the nation. The ground game hasn’t been all that bad with 120.9 rushing yards per game and 3.9 yards per carry. The pass defense though has struggled against all of the big boys, giving up 274.4 yards per game and 22 touchdowns while grabbing only 11 picks. The team has done a good job though in racking up 23 sacks and recovering 11 fumbles. If you want to bet Kansas +16, do it at BetUS and get up to 145% in signup bonuses!
Missouri was a media darling in the early parts of the season, but after their two losses have been put on the back burner. This team is still one of the best offensive clubs in the nation with 45.7 points per game and 512.3 total yards per game. The Tigers have scored 59 total offensive touchdowns while being led by Chase Daniel. Daniel has been as good as expected this year with 77% of his passes for 3,592 yards and 30 touchdowns with only 11 picks. Jeremy Maclin has been talented at the wide receiver spot catching 79 passes for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has also scored two rushing touchdowns and returned a kick for a score. The rushing attack has been led by Derrick Washington, who has ran for 909 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The Tigers have allowed 23.3 points per game, and over 392 total yards per game. Missouri is doing a good job with their run defense with 3.5 yards per carry allowed, but the pass defense has been susceptible in giving up 20 touchdowns while grabbing 11 picks.
