Lakers’ Kobe Bryant Questionable for All-Star Game
Yahoo! Sports has reported that Los Angeles Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant is unsure if he’ll play in this weekend’s All-Star game. Kobe is nursing a sore left ankle that has already kept him out of consecutive games.
Here’s what Bryant had to say on the matter: “If I’m not able to play, I won’t play. But I’m healthy, I will…I’m not an idiot. I’m not going to run through a wall just to run through a wall. If it’s an injury where I feel like I can play through it and have it heal while I’m playing, then I’ll play. But if it’s the type of injury where it’s going to get worse when I play, then I won’t.”
Bryant is expected to be a game time decision for Wednesday’s game with the Utah Jazz, but I’m sure the organization would like to see Kobe use All-Star weekend as a chance to rest his bad wheel so he can be strong for the home stretch.
Bryant first sustained the injury back on January 29th at Philadelphia and he tweaked it again last week when teammate Lamar Odom steeped on his foot.
If he isn’t able to go, there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans worldwide.
