Boise State just needs to take care of business in its last five games and it is staring another BCS bowl berth in the face. The Broncos have used an opportunistic defense to leave no doubt in back-to-back blowout wins over Hawaii and San Jose State. In those two games, the Broncos came up with four interceptions and four more fumble recoveries. But it’s not like the Broncos need any extra help from their opponents to win games, not when they have a QB like Kellen Moore. Moore is coming off a 278-yard, three touchdown performance, and he continues to lead the nation with a 171.0 passer rating. Moore has thrown 24 touchdown strikes this season, good for second most in the country, and he has only been picked off twice. His solid play has helped the Broncos boast the nation’s third highest scoring average (41.0 ppg).

Defensively, Boise State is no slouch either. The Broncos rank 10th nationally in total defense and 11th in scoring defense, allowing only 13.6 points per game. Perhaps even more impressive, the Broncos boast the nation’s fifth-best turnover ratio, which is greatly helped out by their 19 takeaways.

The Broncos enter this Friday night matchup ranked seventh in the latest BCS poll, meaning that they should reach a BCS bowl for the first time since 2006 if they can remain unbeaten. It is worth noting that the Broncos are 9-2 against the spread in their last 11 games as a road favorite. If you like the Broncos to keep right on rolling Friday, bet Boise State at -21 at BetUS.

The Bulldogs will be trying to bounce back from a pair of heartbreakers. They came up two points short of tying the game at Utah State when their two-point conversion failed. Then, they fell by one point to Idaho, giving up the winning touchdown with under a minute remaining. To make matter worse, Tech’s top two playmakers left last week’s game with injuries. Both running back Daniel Porter and wide receiver Phillip Livas are currently listed as questionable for Friday night. If Porter or Livas isn’t able to go, it would be a big blow to the Bulldogs. Porter is just 24 yards from moving into fourth place on Tech’s all-time rushing list. He currently leads the Bulldogs with 640 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. Livas has 205 yards receiving on 19 grabs. Those numbers may not wow you but consider that he caught 43 passes for 607 yards last season. Plus, he is averaging 30.2 yards per kickoff return and 24.8 yards per punt return.

After falling to 0-5 on the road, the Bulldogs will be happy to return to Ruston where they have won 10 of their last 11. Boise State has won seven straight games over the Bulldogs, but the dogs haven’t given the Broncos anything easy in Ruston. In fact, the Broncos are 1-4 against the number in their last five games at Louisiana Tech and the home team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings. If you think the books are spotting the Bulldogs too many points, bet Louisiana Tech at +21 at BetUS.
