Mosley Judah Predictions
On Saturday, May 31st at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, “Sugar” Shane Mosley and Zab Judah will throw down for bragging rights in a welterweight bout. BodogLife Sportsbook lists Shane Mosley as the commanding -525 favorite. Find out if Judah will be worth an underdog wager or if the favorite will handle his business in Jimmy Boyd’s Mosley – Judah odds and predictions article.
“Sugar” Shane Mosley has had a decorated career, winning world titles in three different weight classes. He is famously known as the only boxer to have defeated “The Golden Boy” Oscar De La Hoya twice. Mosley has a professional record of 44 wins, five losses, and one no contest. Of his 44 victories, 37 have come by way of knockout. There’s one thing we can bet on for certain here and that is that Judah won’t be able to knock out Mosley. Mosley has never been knocked out in his professional career and I don’t see it starting here. Mosley enters this fight off a loss to WBA Welterweight champ Miguel Cotto who beat him in a unanimous decision last November. He will be looking for revenge here, but I can assure you that it will be no picnic with Judah.
Zab “Super” Judah is six years Mosley’s junior and this could play to his advantage here. He is a former junior welterweight division champion and a former undisputed welterweight division champ. In his last fight, he defeated Ryan Davis for the vacant IBC light middleweight belt. He has a professional record of 36 wins and five losses. 25 of those wins have come by knockout. Like Mosley, Judah has also recently fought Cotto. Judah hurt Cotto early, staggering him with a vicious uppercut and then snapping his head back with two powerful straight lefts. But Cotto was able to stop the onslaught with an accidental low blow which sent Judah to the ground. Cotto hit him with another low blow early in the third round. If it weren’t for those, Judah might be the WBA Welterweight champ right now.
I’m going to stay away from picking a side here as it’s hard to say which Mosley is going to show up. In a bounce back fight, he could be deadly as he looks to show the world he can still box to get a rematch with Cotto. However, the rounds bet shows very good value. I really like the over 9.5 rounds wager. I already told you guys that Mosley just doesn’t go down and I expect Judah to fight even more technically sound than he did against Cotto here. In the fight with Cotto, Judah still made it to the 11th round despite the two deadly low blows that he took early on. The guy is tough and his youth gives him the edge in terms of endurance. We’ll make our wager on this fight on the over 9.5 rounds.
