NCAA Tournament Tickets

Getting a hold of NCAA tournament tickets won’t cost you near as much as Super Bowl tickets, for example, and won’t be near the hassle. Tickets for the 2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament are already on sale. These games will be going off from mid-March to early April so get your schedule figured out so that you can make it to a couple of these games. In a 19-day span, the tournament hits 13 cities and ends in San Antonio, Texas with the Final Four. That’s why this time of year is called March Madness.

Online ticket brokers buy up a bunch of tickets in advance and will have them available for every region. Obviously, it’s easier to get tickets to the early round action and the prices are better too. For example, you can get upper level end court seats to all 6 games round 1 and round 2 games of the Anaheim location for $270. That breaks down to just $45 a ticket. If that’s not the view you’re looking for, you can get a lower level side court 6-game strip for $865.

Tickets to the regional rounds are slightly more expensive at online brokers. The worst seats in the house at the West Regional in Phoenix will cost you $320 for a 3-game segment. If you’re looking to go to the Final Four, the nose-bleed section will cost you $450 and lower level side-court VIP seating is going for $4545.

Make sure you check around to a few ticket broker websites to see who has the best prices.

It’s not always the safest route to go, but if you are a gambling man, you just might give the scalpers a try. It seems like you can always get individual game tickets from scalpers at decent prices. If they still have their tickets when the game has already started, you are going to get a big discount as well. I saw Arizona/Butler and Ole Miss/Notre Dame in a round 2 session and paid $30 on the street. I don’t know if I could get that price again, but these opportunities will be available from ticket hawkers at every location.

TickCo.com and StubHub.com are a couple leading online ticket brokers that will have plenty of NCAA Men’s tournament tickets for you to get your hands on.

Many times schools are given the opportunity to purchase a block of tickets to NCAA tournament games that they are appearing in. If this is the case, you’ll want to contact your local university about their availability and cost.
