The Giants looked good in their first round win over Tampa Bay.  Eli Manning was 20-for-27 and even though he only threw for 185 yards, he had two touchdowns to go with zero interceptions.  The ability to not turn the ball over and make good decisions is what made that game so easy for New York, and if Manning can continue to play smart against the Cowboys this team is going to have a real shot.  Running the ball was a little difficult against the Bucs, but the Giants did just enough with Ahmad Bradshaw getting 17 carries for 66 yards and Brandon Jacobs going for 34 yards on 13 carries.  On the receiving end of things, Amani Toomer grabbed seven passes for 74 yards and a score, Plaxico Burress had four receptions for 38 yards, and Steve Smith caught three for 29 yards.

Defensively it was Michael Strahan causing problems all day long.  He had nine tackles to go with a sack and a fumble recovery.  Tampa Bay only managed 69 yards on the ground to go with 202 yards receiving, but the big difference was creating three turnovers.  The Bucs could just not recover from these mistakes.

This week the team heads to Dallas, a team that they have already dropped two games to this season.  They lost to the Cowboys on the road in week one, which just happens to be their only loss away from home this year.  If Manning can play well and Terrell Owens is limited due to his ankle sprain, New York has a great shot at moving on to the next round.

New York has the longest odds of any team left in the playoffs when it comes to having a chance to win the Super Bowl.  Maybe it's because the odds makers think they would have no shot against an AFC opponent, but to end the regular season the G-Men gave it their all against the New England Patriots and even if they didn't win, with a break here or there they could have.  If you like New York and the way they are playing, this could be a wager worth looking into.
